What to Watch: "I Swear," "Eno," "EPiC"

"I Swear" (⭐ ⭐ 1/2, $19.99 premium rental on Apple TV, Fandango at Home and Prime Video) hews so close to the Little British Crowd-Pleaser template that it practically comes with a Tesco Value Brand label. Which means if you like tales of cheeky, up-against-it working class blighters told with heart and humor, it may be your cup of Twinings. And if you resist the manipulations of "The Full Monty"/"Waking Ned Devine" school of emotional carjacking, you may well want to head in the opposite direction. But then you'd miss Robert Aramayo's BAFTA-winning performance as John Davidson, who over the course of decades turned his Tourette Syndrome from a literal curse to a national teachable moment. So give it a spin (although maybe wait until the rental price comes down to Value Brand levels).
